GM Cars...? What is the best valued car that GM makes? (Based on MPG/Cost)

How come prices not dropping significantly for chrysler and GM cars even though they both filed bankruptcy? many chrysler, GM cars still $25000+ even after filing bankruptcy. Are they serious? Wouldn't a person be better off in buying a toyota, honda or nissan for that kind of price? if they really want to sell they should drop the price to $10,000 or below.

Why does Hannity tell people to buy GM (Government Motors) cars and then tells us to reject gov't health care? Hannity says "why trust a government that bankrupted the social security system and runs the post office poorly" and then he then says "Buy great GM cars". GM is owned by the same government that runs social security and the post office. Why trust them to build great cars?

What does everyone think of GM forcing employees to park non-GM cars in a separate lot? The separate lot is as far from the building as possible. The company claims that this is to prevent passers-by from seeing non GM vehicles in the GM lot, however the lot is right by the road that runs in front of the plant! GM vehicles assembled in foreign countries do not have to park in the separate lot. American made cars made by UAW members at Ford and Chrysler must park in the separate lot. This plant does their mowing with a Ford tractor, and hauls their products to and from the plant in Volvo semis.

Will the cars GM produces in the future be completely boring? As a car enthusiast, it saddens me to think in the future we could all be driving the equivilent of the Toyota Prius, Honda Accord, and Malibu...Seriously I love the Cadillac CTS-V! But I feel they will drop cars like that, and most of GM's cars will be glorified mini-vans, and puddle-jumpers, which for people like me who love muscle cars, tuners, and anything that looks cool and is exciting to drive. Why are some people loyal to GM, even though they have had bad experiences with their GM cars? I am sick and tired of hearing people say that GM is the best, while they are taking their car into the shop once a month to fix another underengineered part. Other than Cadillac, every GM brand has below average reliability and quality. I used to be GM loyal, and then I test drove a Ford on a dare, and I have never turned back. I have had my Ford truck for almost 8 years and have put 150,000 miles and it has been in the shop one time for a mechanical failure. My Thunderbird had over 200K miles on it when I sold it, and it ran like a top. Every Chevy I have owned has been in the shop at least twice a year. I am now only to loyal to cars that don't break down.

Did GM make a critical error when scrapping electric cars over 10 years ago? Electric cars did exist over 10 years ago, but GM decided to scrap all of the cars, even though they worked perfectly. It's all in a documentary called "Who killed the electric car?". GM sold the battery technology to an oil company and the electric car was no more. If they would have worked on the battery technology, think of how far we would have gotten into electric cars.

I am in nj and was wondering if dealer incentive on GM cars are taken off the invoice price before or aftr tax? I am uusing a supplier discount and was given a selling price but taxes were added before the incentive by gm were taken. Does anyone know the rules in NJ? The price I was quoted was after tax. The supplier price plus tax, then minus the cutomer cash back rebate, the leasee rebate and the cutomer loyalty (total of $4750) was all taken after the tax was calculated.
