How come Atlanta and Detroit have the same radio stations?

Well I'm from Ann Arbor, Michigan and the radio stations up there are from Detroit and the main ones are like 95.5 and 97.9 and they have the exact same stations in ATL with the same genres so wats up with that lol.

1. They just have the same station numbers. Now, they could possibly be the same station, like Ryan Seacrest and Delilah are played nationwide, but they pre record station numbers and areas so it ONLY sounds like your city it is being recognized by them...
