Where can i get original GM replacement keys for an 86 caprice classic?

I want to keep the car original and i want to get original GM keys. I don't want to replace the ignition and locks but if it comes to i will. I don't want to hire a locksmith because it seems to expensive. It might come out costing the same.

1. get the keys from the dealer ship
2. why do they have to be orginal for ?? i myself go to a hardware store that makes keys from the machine personally an not by remote control.. .. original keys that old would be too expensiveand their is no guarantees u can get it .mj
3. Dealers don't have keys to cars that old. You're gonna have to go the locksmith route.
4. That may be a good trick. You might try a search on the net asking for OEM 1986 GM key blanks. good luck
5. If you are in the UK. contact Old Car World in Perivale W.London ( totaly GM Parts dealers) and give then the Chassis number. They will sell you a set of UNCUT keys and if you take them + the original ones to a locksmith, they will be exact duplicates as your original ones.
