What are some places to eat on the Detroit riverfront that have a great view?
My girlfriend's from out of town and is coming to visit me in Detroit over Thanksgiving weekend. Since she's not from around here, she won't have ever seen the river, so I'd like to take her out to some place that has a pretty view. Money is no object. Where can I take her that has a great view of the river?

- The Roostertail Restaurant - Not an overly high priced evening.
- I agree with Mac about the Roostertail. It's really nice. I thought they were just doing banquets and parties now. I could be wrong. They have a website too. Give them a call. 2nd choices might be Andiamo's riverfront or something in the Wintergarden at the Renaissance GM center. These have websites also. Good luck and have fun !!!
- If money is no object, go to Coach Insignia on top of the Ren Cen. It has excellent food and a great wine list. If you schedule to have an early dinner, you can watch the sun set. Another option would be Andiamo on the river (also in the Ren Cen). Make sure you request a window side table. I will add that the view is OK there during the day, but at night, you would not be able to see much of the river. Lastly is Seldom Blue (up stairs from Andiamo) but I heard they recently files Chapter 11. They may still be in business, but I am not certain.
- The Roostertail Restaurant, This is a great place to go.
