What is the difference between a Chrysler crossfire base model and the limited version?

Hi I'm buying a Chrysler crossfire and I want to know the differeces between the base and the limited. I know that the limited has a silver trim around the windsheild and can come in convertable, but besides that what is there?

  1. The Base IS the Limited, but only in the first year (2004). In this year, the seats are leather, and you can choose either automatic or 6-spd; also some of the colors are limited. In 2005 and on, the base has cloth seats, and a few other things that in the limited and SRT6 come standard. Other differences are that you can have a convertible, or the SRT version (aka: supercharged, or turbo); colors are also added. The silver trim is pretty much standard on limited and SRT6 and on all the 2004 models (though I have to admit that a solid black Crossfire looks really cool). If you are looking at Crossfires, please don't bother heading to a dealership until you've done all your homework and are ready to bargain; the prices of these cars have dropped like stones, and you can find really nice deals and really well-taken care of cars through Crossfire forums (crossfireforum.org is a great place to start). Plus a lot of these car owners will customize their cars, as well as give out tons of helpful information.
