When is the best time buy GM stock after their bankruptcy?

I want to buy GM stock but don't want to lose my investment to bankruptcy. When is it safe to buy GM stock?

  1. Never
  2. As with any stock GM stock is not a safe investment. The company has a lot of problems and is going to have a long hard ride out of chapter 11. Personally I would not touch anything GM at this time.
  3. When GM restructures it will still have the same old platform of being somewhat controlled by the Unions, and will still have allot of obligations to retirees. Also the "New GM" will be somewhat controlled by the US Treasury and the Obama administration, hence the "they will make green cars that Americans Want to buy". Honestly I think investing in TM Toyota Motors, or even Ford if they make it through this would be a better bet. If Ford doesnt become Govt. Controlled they will be able to make whatever cars they please, and sales will increase because of the cut in output that GM and Chrysler have during Bankruptcy. Ford has recieved No bailout money. http://conservative-kid.blogspot.com/
